Everyday there is a daily routine in my house; wake up at five or six in the morning, depending on if it is a weekday or weekend. But in this case it was a weekend, so we all woke up around seven in the morning. I am still in bed watching TV, checking my phone and listening to music. My sisters and brother are all in the kitchen fighting about something, getting there breakfast or watching TV in our little living room, while mom is looking through the pantry and the refrigerator, making her shopping list and her list of things to do for the day.
My mom makes her list, goes around to everyone and reads off the list to see if there is anything to add or if they have any suggestions for dinner tonight. She comes to me and I tell her I don’t need anything and that I don’t know what I want for dinner tonight. Then she tells me what she plans to do today. “I am going to my grandmas since they are out of town, I need to go and water the plants and check on the house.” Then she said she will go to Wal-mart and get the propane tank filled and get all the shopping done. I said “okay mom.”
After she left I got up and went into the kitchen and looked around to see what was in the kitchen for me to eat. Then I went to go and sit on the couch in the living room and my cell phone rings. My mom called, so I picked up. My mom said “I am in a bad car accident send your father.” I go and wake up my dad and tell him that she was in a car accident down the street. My dad leaps out of bed, grabs his wallet, cell phone, car keys and gets in the car, driving off like a maniac on wheels. thirty minutes later, my mom calls me from my dad’s phone explaining what had happened, a small car ran a red light as my mom’s was turning left, as she was turning the young girl hit her passenger rear of the car causing the car to spin out of control and the air bags to deploy, hitting her wrist causing it to break. They were not sure how bad the break was so she was going to the emergency room.
She was very lucky that nothing really bad had happen to her since she had the propane tank in the back of the car during the accident. It just goes to show you that anything can happen, even during your daily routine and things can happen when you least expect.
